A software upgrade on the incoming mail servers (mx1.startmail.com, mx2.startmail.com, mx3.startmail.com) will be performed in sequence. During the time of the upgrade, it may show offline for remote third party mail servers attempting delivery to StartMail. It will (should) then be re-attempted to any of the other remaining servers online. As a result, some email may be delivered with a slight delay (~ minutes) during this window and we expect a minimal impact overall.
This follows after an initial roll-out that has been reverted shortly after, on last Thursday May 19th (https://status.startmail.com/incidents/fc1q6gchty3y). The issue with the delivery of mail that we experienced after the upgrade is assumed to be resolved and we will monitor the roll-out today closely.
